Frankly, Luke Jackson said, he just still loves being around basketball.

It’s why the former Oregon basketball guard is gearing up for a winter with few days away from the sport. It was just three weeks ago that the Creswell native was announced as the new men’s basketball coach at Pleasant Hill. Then Wednesday, the University of Oregon announced Jackson, a two-time first-team Pac-10 selection for the Ducks (04, 05), would be joining Joey McMurry on the UO men’s hoops broadcasts as a color analyst this season.

The I-5 Corridor caught up with the No. 10 pick in the 2004 draft to talk about his radio chops, his return to the high school sideline, Payton Pritchard’s run to the NBA Finals and the most overlooked figure in Oregon sports.
