As Oregon flies through its final season in the Pac-12, The I-5 Corridor pays respect to the opponents the Ducks face for the final time as conference foes.
This is a beautifully written article - my favorite so far
We had season tickets forever when I was a kid, when the games didn't cost so much. I was at the 0-0 game. I have seen the Ducks demolish OSU in whatever its stadium was called back then. I won't miss the Rodents. The only thing OSU has represented in the past 3 (4?) decades (aside from a couple of seasons) is as a spoiler for the Ducks.
If the Beavs had only taken off their rosy, sheep-milk-covered glasses... and realized their administration was - year after year in the Scott era - facilitating the demise of the conference they needed to survive.
UO focused on securing the financing for winning, while the Beavs churned through coach after coach. Stability and vision matters.
I’ll add the 2008 game on VERSUS channel. Oregon crushed the beavs in Corvallis. You felt something special brewing. Little did we know about Charles Kelly in the booth and what he was about to embark on.
One of your best, Tyson. Keep it up, good luck and Thanks.
