Despite MLS 'hate,' the Portland Timbers' stars are shining

Between Evander and Jonathan Rodriguez, Portland's best players are beginning to peak.

“One thousand percent,” the Timbers manager interjected. “I think Evander has made that publicly known on his Instagram account.”

He has. Portland’s attacking midfielder is often soft-spoken, but late last month Evander took to social media to add a little heat to an already spicy clip of him nutmegging a Minnesota defender.

“Since MLS hates Portland,” Evander wrote, “we posted it ourselves.”
