Oregon 24, Idaho 14: 'The score is what the score was.'
Thank you, Comcast.
For what it’s worth, Dan Lanning didn’t enjoy any of that either.
FCS press conferences are supposed to be the easy ones. Instead, Oregon’s third-year head coach steamed his way through questions about his offensive line, his team’s inability to convert in key situations and general bewilderment over how such a lopsided matchup ended with the No. 3 Ducks needing a fourth-quarter surge to avoid disaster.
“Every game we look for an opportunity to grow,” Lanning told reporters after Oregon’s 24-14 win. “And we certainly left this game with opportunities to grow.”
That’s one way of looking at it.
