Oregon's No. 3 recruiting class supported by big-time spending
The Big Ten's best class was buoyed by a 20-percent increase in spending.
It’s a few days after signing day and the numbers are still pretty staggering for Oregon. The Ducks’ class sits at No. 3 in the 247 Composite rankings.
Nationally.
Remember, it wasn’t so long ago that recruiting aficionados around Eugene were celebrating a No. 13 class, then a No. 8 class and No. 7 class back in the day. Now it’s just No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Alabama sitting ahead of a place that was considered hard to recruit to even less than a decade ago. Oregon’s class is the best in the Big Ten, best of the teams from the conference formally resembling the Pac-12 and one that came, as expected, with the largest price tag in program history.
And we’re not talking NIL.
