Welcome to The I-5 Corridor’s State of the Hardwood series, where we’ll be taking an in-depth look at the men’s and women’s basketball programs at Oregon and Oregon State throughout the summer. Today we continue with the Oregon men’s basketball team, which caught fire last spring to reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time in three years.

EUGENE — As far as recruiting pitches go, well, Oregon men’s basketball assistant coach Mike Mennenga said the Ducks’ isn’t too shabby.
