In Day 3 of our acclaimed series, The I-5 at The Masters, our hero Kevin Palmer (
) finally arrives at Augusta National for Round 1 of The Masters.Today we have three dispatches from our daring man on the course, ranging from his thoughts on the conditions to his failed attempts (so far) to land himself a seat on a private jet.
We begin at 8:45 a.m. in Augusta, long before The I-5 editing crew had clocked in for the morning here in Portland.
Now, we fast-forward our coverage to post-Round 1, where the notoriously crafty ball striker Bryson DeChambeau leads after shooting a blistering 7-under 65, just as Kevin predicted.
Kevin concludes today’s coverage with an update on the food menu and a thoughtful nod of support to his men’s league hockey team he abandoned during the postseason to instead watch golf.
