Wow. Does this bring back memories 😊 absolutely loved watching Patrick Chung, Walter Thurman & the rest of the defensive linemen tear up & down the field for The Ducks. Great article Shane. Thanks for sharing what it was like to be a player during this time. Coach Neal was terrific & yes they did leave a legacy that carries on today. Go Ducks!

One more thing. I hope all of these great student athletes are welcomed back by the football organization. There is a lot of greatness and sage advice just waiting to be tapped. Go Ducks!

Once again, for long time Ducks remember the quality of the referred to teams. The quality of the journalism stands out once again. No site produces content remotely at this level. Great work Shane!

Great article Shane. That group was so fun to watch. Looking back at the collection of talent in the DB room is unreal. Set the foundation for the future. Go Ducks!!

Can the kids today adopt this attitude? I love that lanning is out recruiting his current players. It’s there job to maintain there positions. This was a special group. Also love the scouting from Neal. Looked beyond 247 and stars. Mario’s teams were littered with high star players that didn’t show anything.

Jaruis Byrd calling out the hellcats vs the 2 star players of his generation was awesome.

Great story, thanks Shane. Kinda forgot about that group, but yeah, they were ferocious and talented and definitely set the tone for the future with their work ethic and passion. Cheers to Coach Neal. A job well done, Sir!
