The Traffic Report: Do we want honest coaches?
What does "sticking with us through adversity” actually mean?
Tyson Alger and Justin Myers are back with another I-5 Corridor Traffic Report, this time with fall camp entering Week 2 and the Pac-12 looking a little different than it used to.
They get into new Oregon State coach JaMarcus Shephard’s pretty blunt message to Beaver fans, what “sticking with us through adversity” actually means and whether fans really want coaches to be honest with them.
On the Oregon side, they zoom out on Dan Lanning and the national-title-or-bust expectations surrounding the Ducks, how coaches handle pressure when the cameras are on and Tyson shares a few special teams notes from camp.
Then it’s Mariners baseball — where the vibes are nowhere to be found and Ichiro is still the coolest person alive — and Justin taking a landscaping flyer far more personally than anyone should.
