The Portland Timbers’ 50th anniversary season is set to kick off Sunday against Vancouver at Providence Park.
And while I can’t confirm this, I don’t think they had smoked brisket nachos for that first game way back when.
They do now.
To celebrate the start of the season, the Timbers invited media members to the stadium on Tuesday to sample some of the new and returning concession items that will be available to fans throughout the year.
And since our official policy at The I-5 Corridor is to never turn down a free lunch, I made it out to the park with the help of Corridor Hunger Correspondent Sam McDonald to provide a very thorough review.
Speaking of menus, here’s what’s coming up the next few days on The I-5 Corridor for paid subscribers:
Wednesday: The biggest questions facing Oregon football as spring ball approaches.
Thursday: An introduction to Curling with the Evergreen Curling Club.
Friday: Portland Timbers season preview.
