Evan Williams (JJ Anderson/The I-5 Corridor)

Former Ducks defensive back Bennett Williams isn’t one to phone his brother Evan bearing advice.

It’s not that he and Evan — who has slotted in excellently on the backend of the Oregon secondary for the graduated Bennett this season — don’t like to catch up. They do, often. It’s just that Bennett doesn’t want to overdo it on the whole, “now here’s what I would do” side of things.

“I let him play,” Bennett told the I-5 Corridor, “because that’s what he does best.”

All told, there is one small detail that was passed down brother-to-brother this week as Evan and the Ducks prepare to venture North to Seattle for a top-10 matchup against the rival Washington Huskies.
