Watch: Dan Lanning kicks off his first spring with Oregon

“I haven’t been around a lot of bad first days,” Oregon’s new coach said after his first practice with the Ducks.

Football is back.

Under sunny skies, the Dan Lanning era kicked off in Eugene for the first of Oregon’s 15 practices this spring. Here’s the raw footage from Lanning’s post-practice presser, with his first impressions and an update on Oregon director of player personnel Don Johnson’s health.1

The Ducks will practice again on Saturday before taking two weeks off for finals and spring break.

Note: I’m away for the next few days and wasn’t able to be there in person today.

Next week will be an exciting one, however: The I-5 Corridor has been credentialed for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament in Portland. Enjoy the weekend, all.

Not going to make you watch the video to get the info here. “I wish there was some new news right now, but there’s not a lot of new news. It’s still very serious and we continue to send our thoughts and prayers for Don and his family.” Johnson had an unspecified medical event last week.
