Episode 8: Fresh hops and baseball with Corey Brock

Corey Brock appreciates good beer and baseball, so a career of covering MLB in wonderfully crafty cities like San Diego and Seattle, where he currently covers the Mariners for The Athletic, has at least satisfied one of those needs.

Yet here in 2021, the Padres have a roster filled with All-Stars. And the Mariners? Well, it’s September the the M’s are still somehow mathematically in it.

It’s a a pretty sweet gig, and it was great to talk to Corey about the job, the Mariners and the best rivalry in sports, The Vedder Cup, over a couple of beers at Lombard House in this subscribers-exclusive edition of The I-5 Corridor podcast.
