Jake Zivin should have been on this podcast a long time ago. I mean, we overlapped in Montana. We overlapped on the Oregon beat. And for nearly a decade he’s been the voice of the Portland Timbers — proving to be yet another succesful export from those early KEZI teams of the early 2010s.
Here’s a quick stroll down memory lane, with Jake bringing Eugene all the details about some guy named Mariota making his debut at the 2012 Oregon spring game.
Well, Jake has a new gig. He’s now a part of the new broadcast team for Major League Soccer’s MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. And since the Corridor is all about that soccer life these days, we wanted to check in with Jake about his new gig, his view on the sports streaming world and reflect of his favorite memories covering the Ducks back in the day.
