The Oregon Ducks find balance at RB after losing Jordan James
It's Even Steven for the Ducks in Eugene.
“Life is amazing,” Jerry once told Kramer after getting off the phone. “I just lost a job and five minutes later, I get another job. Same weekend. Same money.”
“You know who you are?” Kramer asked between puffs of a cigar. “Even Steven.”
No, the writers of Seinfeld probably weren’t thinking about the Oregon Ducks as they wrote the final episode of the hit show’s fourth season.
However, these offseasons are beginning to feel about that way.
The Ducks lost Bo Nix, so they added Dillon Gabriel.
The Ducks lost Troy Franklin, so they added Evan Stewart.
And so on.
This offseason hasn’t deviated from the mold. While the Ducks do look to be sticking in-house for their next move at quarterback, the Ducks countered the loss of Traeshon Holden to the NFL by nabbing former Florida State WR Malik Benson.
Of more importance is how they’ve balanced out following the departure of running back Jordan James. The running back announced he’d be leaving school a year early to enter the NFL Draft, a move not entirely surprising after a junior year where he rushed for 1,267 yards with 15 touchdowns and 209 receiving yards.
But since this is the Ducks, it didn’t take long for the scales to balance out.
