That's interesting take. I have a friend who lives in SEC country. He says he's disliked Nix for years because he didn't handle the losses well at Auburn.

I wonder if one other thing is at work: Nix is not as physically gifted as the other top candidates. ESPN doesn't run clips of him running around for his life and then zinging the ball 50 yards for a TD. What he does have more than the other candidates is that he brilliant tactician. He calls audibles that turn into big gains and touchdowns. Many of those decisions are his own based on what he sees. Plus he's got O-line that means he rarely has to scramble. I wish the Heisman voters would take into account the complete package. He's a field general unlike any I an remember at Oregon.

Some good points here, Drex. Funny enough, that "running around for his life" style is more what we saw at Auburn. The not handling losses well part doesn't shock me. He hasn't been chipper when he's lost here in Eugene, either, it just hasn't happened much.
