Love your show Tyson, just one small quibble; it’s hard to hear you. Shane? Easy to hear. Either your mike is way down, or you’re too far from the mike. Just a heads up!

You bet! I’d love to pick your brain a bit on a wild idea, that conceivably could come to fruition in the next 3 years (ish). I’m currently in San Antonio, but will be moving back to the bucolic and beautiful confines of Southern Oregon once my youngest son graduates. My question pertains to a possible foray into the sports journalism field, Sub-stack style. I hold a business degree from University of San Diego, but I have no experience or degree per se in journalism. Would you possibly entertain the notion of taking a fledgling writer under your wing, akin to an unpaid internship? While it’s never been easier for a common hack to start a writing career due to SubStack , etc., the invaluable tidbits and secrets of the trade picked up from Goe & Co. (undoubtably whilst slaking your thirst on a tasty craft brew at the local watering hole), and your years at The Oregonian, The Athletic, and the Univ. Of Oregon make you that grizzled vet of the sporting news, and the only person in the industry I considered to ask. Oddly enough, the impetus came from loving your content and the variety of pieces, but selfishly wanting more after burning through everything you and Shane put out! My thought was, in time, with additional writers=more content=greater coverage and diversification of topics =happy readers, and grow the base. If you’ve got too much on your plate, or the timing isn’t right, I understand. I’ve listened to your podcasts for years, and you seem like a very approachable and open minded fellow. I appreciate your time and feedback on this, and keep the Corridor cracking!
